Have to agree. I love that body style. The square body was a huge step backwards in my opinion. Have you ever seen a 67 with shaved door handles? Done right, they really look clean.

Although, I have to say, the fourth get truck looks really good. I always appreciate seeing a nice clean example that is truly cared for. Other than the crappy door hinges (which can be rebuilt.... but you expect them to last the life of the vehicle) not a lot of flaws.

However, if I ever decide to go with a "real" pickup to replace my El Camino, which I have beefed up enough to use as a car hauler, the wife REALLY loves the 55 - 57 step side trucks, Chev or GMC. And with factory air and PS, not sure I can build a tri five pick up with as much comfort and utility as what I get from the El Camino. And, given all the projects I have lined up, I don't see finding time to build an old pick up to modern standards anywhere in my future. At least for now.
