I've used Rotella T6 in all of my Duramax's. It's fairly priced, readily available, and does a great job.
Of course, oil threads get highly debated. There was another thread a bit ago about oil change intervals. I myself change at 5000 religiously. Frequent oil change intervals are the absolute cheapest insurance a person has for engine life.
