I think you are "stuck" on comparing Camaros to "oddball" cars.

I owned one of these, ultimate sleeper car. Luxury, top of the line for the year, and very fast for the size of it. I owned it in the early 90's, it would whip 5.0L Mustangs all day. Exceptionally fast for the size. Came from the factory with a shift kit in the 400 tranny. You could pull it down in to first, (column shift) and then it would shift up in gear without you moving the lever. So all you had to do was drive it, it would shift up by itself and "bark" the tires in all 3.
Wish I had still had it... AND I don't think that car is overpriced. The GS parts are VERY hard to acquire.
In this volatile $$ climate....this car is a steal
