Here are some pictures of NOS 3955773 and 3955776 back drive rods with the part numbers stamped into them.

The 3955773 is longer by about 5/16". A tape hooked end to end measures 20 11/16". Center to center on holes is about 20 5/16".

The 3955776 is shorter by about 5/16". A tape hooked end to end measures 20 3/8". Center to center holes is about 20".
