This photo was set up specifically for a GM issued calendar. The '69 belongs to Pontiac icon Jeff Denison. One of the other cars belongs to the Jensens and the remaining car belongs to PY member Mike from Chicago. That's the Athens Coney Island on Woodward Ave, which is quite well known.

One funny story about that shoot: the diner was actually closed down so they could tape over the yellow parking lines and wet the asphalt down. They even staged "talent" inside the restaurant, so that it would look like it was open: Eric White, Dan Jensen, Dennis Jensen and at least one of their kids.

Some lady stopped by for lunch so Jeff had to approach her and tell her the diner was closed.

"It looks open to me" she said.

Jeff replied that it was intentional, so the photo shoot would look more authentic.

"Well - there's people in there!" she said.

Jeff tried to explain - again - they were "actors", again to make it look better, but she stomped off before he could finish.

I think her parting words were something like "I just wanted a d@mn CONEY!!"
