Here I am less than 44 hours after surgery. Some of the family headed this way for Thanksgiving dinner, but about 1/2 our normal crowd. I will put the sling on for protection, and will wear a mask (at the bequest of my daughter who is in health care) when close to others.

Yes, I am getting ready to turn 68, and that is my natural hair color. Still a bit bloated around the middle from surgery. Had a hard time getting the pants on.

You guys have a great Thanksgiving.
I had my right shoulder replaced a year ago, at 60. I was struggling to work on my racecar, hang a jacket, put on a shirt, etc...
I had to stay one night in the hospital but was pain free by 5:00 PM the day of surgery.
It was also the best thing that I ever did, as it allows me to do things which I had not been able to do in many years.

And today, as I type this, I am 5 days post surgery from a double knee replacement. It is not as pain free as my shoulder replacement, but my options were limited.

Yes, I am hard on my body...

I wish you a speedy recovery.
