I went to the drag strip, I guess it's been 3 weeks ago now. It was well into this beer virus thing. Just a test and tune night. Pretty crowded with cars but never really any spectators.
Personally I didn't see a problem with it. We were all isolated in our own cars all night. The closest I came in to contact with anyone was grabbing my time slips on my way past the timing shack.
When I asked a track official about being open his comment to me was they didn't feel this was going to affect them and their plans were to stay open for test sessions, just not having any big NHRA events until it blows over.
Made sense to me. I mean Arizona deemed golfing an essential business to stay open (

) and all the courses around my neck of the woods are crowded with groups of people riding around in golf carts and standing at the T's. If they feel they can do that through this pandemic I see no harm in drag racing.
However, I don't know how the virus situation is in Ohio. Here in Arizona it hasn't been as bad as other states.
