Depending on who you ask, 906 or 914 Hurst/Old were built, with this car being serial number 1, the first one built. Even George Hurst's personal car was serial number 3. VINs are not sequential, however—the guys at Demmer just went out in the parking lot and grabbed a car to keep the line moving.
