One of the strangest looking fish in the ocean; Mola Mola AKA Ocean Sunfish. They can weigh up to 2 tons. Females of the species can produce more eggs than any other known vertebrate, up to 300,000,000 at a time.
I had the pleasure of swimming with one off the coast of Long Island. We were gathered on the back deck of the dive boat in-between dives when someone yelled "SHARK!" We all turned around and there was a fin cutting the water. But it wasn't stiff like a shark fin. It was flabby. The captain came out and told us to get our snorkels, masks and fins on which we did and jumped into the ocean. There right in front of us was an Ocean Sunfish - a BIG one. Some of the guys swam up and touched it. It didn't care at all. We were like fleas on the back of a dog to it.
