Bought a 1967 Shelby 21 years ago and still have. Was a local car that was in Hemmings for 6 months. Took me 3 months to pull the trigger as I knew Chevrolet buy not Ford. Great car and a lot of fun. The first 200 cars did have the scope brake lights but the government made them stop later made them stop the inboards also for safety concerns? The one thing that drives me nuts is many 1967 Shelby's have their GT 350 or GT 500 side stripes on wrong. They are suppose to start or end at the end or start of the fender/door line and not in the middle which the factory did for 1968. They had to squeeze the engine in the car and thus shaved the bottom edge off the DS valve cover so it would not hit the master brake cylinder. To change the DS rear spark plug it is easier to remove the master brake cylinder to do so.
