Hidden VIN's trump the VIN tag. It happened here in PA many years ago, I was mere days away from being called as a witness to a lawsuit between two cars - one had the hidden VIN's and orig TT, the other car had restamped hidden VIN's, restamped TT and orig VIN tag. Marlin, that's what I thought would or should happen. Sucks for the fake car owner but it is what it is. BUT I guess the guy with the fake would have "just cause" to get his $$$ back from who he got the car from, and so on down the line? Like a chain-reaction car crash. Once the people who were in-line start sueing the previous owner, it would get back to the one who originally "made" the fake and he's stuck with the bill? If he's still alive....
