Sometimes you get lucky, when I bought my 63 Tempest convert a few years ago I got quotes about 10K to do the body work and paint.Original blk car.The drivers 1/4 had been repaired but really bad job. After month of crying about not being able to finish the car a friend who owns 3 body shops that just does insurance work feels sorry and he has a couple of his guys do the body work and get it paint ready but would not paint it.It got done and was killer good job.Cost me just under 2K for materials and labor. From a recommend from a friend took the car to a local shop that did it in single stage blk.The car came out WAY better than expected and cost me $1500 out the door and was mirror smooth.Made it easy to roll the car but think when done I still lost 4K on the car.FWIW,Tom
