A little out of sequence but here is the shifter, reverse lock out and z-bar rebuild. These shifters are junk so a lot of time and effort goes into them to make them better than they were though they will never be as good as a Hurst. Steve Gregori (
www.brakeboosters.com) handled all the plating for these component parts as well as the rest of the car.
Note the factory installed plug in the clutch z-bar. It was up to the mechanic at the 1st oil change to install the grease zirc fitting. This plug was still on our Chevelle so it was cleaned and reused.
