The splined end is where they generally break on a stock axle because that's the smallest diameter of the tapered axle.

The Mosers are not tapered. They are the same diameter throughout. Matter of fact it makes them tricky to install past the seal and bearing. If you break one of these you're doing something because like I said I've run them for 20 years with abuse through 600 hp in a 2 ton street car that runs bottom 11's and they have never flinched. Not that they won't break but....I tend to think the driveshaft will go before these axles do.
