It is the natural progression of the hobby. Look at all the 40 Ford coupe hot rods out there that the older owners can't give away now. And on the flip side, see the price of 5.0 LX Mustangs (and they made a ton of them) lately? A 40 Ford coupe, beautiful car, but I did not grow up with it and it is not an era that interests me. Exceptional examples of anything will always command a premium, but for the rank and file (and the crowd that chases it) time marches on.
