In the past I would have recommended Michelin Pilot Sports, wore out a couple sets. Then they stopped making my favored tread in my size,
Tried their "improved" tread style, ditched them after 30K because I couldn't stand the noise. My size (245x40R18) has limited availability, went with Continentals, happy so far. Check with Tire Rack for recommendations and customer reviews for your car.
Still like Michelins for my truck though.
