You might appreciate (“enjoy” is probably not the right word) a new book by my brother in law Doug Stanton: “The Odyssey of Echo Company”, which is about the 101st Airborne during the Tet Offensive.

Doug’s books are not an easy read but I believe they are usually pretty cathartic for those who were there.

I'll have to check that out. I remember the 101st well ... we shared Bien Hoa AB in Nam'. The had a NCO Club on their side called the "Gun Slinger". Not too many AF guys cold get in there, but I was a Weapons Troop so they allowed our kind. Set them up with a 20MM M-39 cannon -- they mounted it in the door of a Huey ... they needed something with more punch then the 60's and .50 Cals ... TAZ
