Default Long distance buying

I picked up a small job in the last few days, re-assembling a car that was painted 2 years ago. The owner has it sold, I'm told, to a buyer that hasn't actually seen it, and has a deposit. I'm putting on all the trim, wiper motor, door handles, etc.
There are so many issues with this car, bubbles, poor masking, paint on dirt, rusty floor, rust on dash under windshield, that I have to reiterate the point that many have made here before. Get someone to actually go and look at the car before you send any money, even if it's a few hundred dollars. It's cheaper than the alternative. This car, which I'm told was sold for $22,000 Cdn., will need to be completely gone over, properly, to be any good. It is a rare and desirable car, and the mechanicals are good, but someone will be sick when they get it home!
I won't say what it is on an open forum, but if you or a friend bought a car from my area, PM me.
