The ones that were on it were okay for 30 years, so I'm honestly not too scared. Besides, it never gets launched hard, and they aren't full. I put about 80 lbs in them.
(If problems do arise, I will be the first one to admit you were right though.)

Oh, and the traction bars were originally Yellow as I thought (talked to the previous owner who put the 454/TH400 in- he also did the slapper bars, and most likely the old shocks which were also HiJackers).
I'm going to have to paint them Yellow again.
