I suggest a Double Dose of Flocking.
1st on the interior of the console base and a 2nd on the back side or interior of the lid.
I used the same kit (I chose to mask Hinge area, might not be how the factory did it but it is not seen)
I think 67-68 glove boxes also received similar treatments.
