Default Re: Auction with a lot of neat signs

Many collectors have been liquidating their real metal sign collections.India is to blame for all the fake signs that hit the market recently,so much so that it's driving the prices of the real ones down. Many commissioned low cost labor overseas manufacturers to replicate signs for them,(even the holy grail once never thought about doing porcelains),to take advantage of the sign boom lately.
Too many sellers are bogus on eBay with their claims of originality.
One guy even makes his own, beats em up with a chain, then lets em soak in pigs**t for a month or so and calls em "barnfinds".
Fortunately many people who spot the fakes,or know people who are doing the fakes, share the details with others across the net.
Newbie buyers should do some serious homework before laying down some serious cash for anything like this today.
