Catching up a bit as I compile more pictures. My sister Eileen and her husband Fran helped us put the steering back together and push it into the trailer. Not in the pic, and a great guy I don't want to leave out is Dave "67Novaboy" for his help on parts ad friendship. We had to overhaul the steering column as part of this update and he came through. I would have hated to move this car without steering. Thanks Dave!
Here is my Mom, steering the Nova into the trailer. If the motor was in the car still, we probably could have use the tow tabs. Just too light in the front without it and wasn't that fun to steer.
After getting the car there- Mike, Bob, my Dad and I were all thrilled with how well this project went. They did a great job and the parts & prep my Dad had done really helped this get wrapped up quickly. Thanks Mom, Mike & Bob!
Earlier in this thread, I mentioned the big contribution our long time friend Andy Starr of Hilborn was. We couldn't be happier with how this little motor turned out. Mike and Bob were also fans of how well this old stuff ran in the Nova!
Last pic for tonight is this one here of local legend and hard core historical aficionado Dave Schrader. Gotta thank him for recalling so many of the clues of the Nova's early life and helping me get in touch with the original owner, Bob Moody.
