I have used the evaporust with very good results. Gotta keep the towel soggy with the stuff, though. because if it is a light colored car, it will stain the finish if you let it dry on the surface. Make sure you rinse it with water after several hours to get the residue off. If necessary you can then repeat the process. This will reduce the likelihood of staining the paint yellow.

We had a truck at work that was parked under a dripping water pipe and it covered the window glass as well as the paint down the sides, in rust. The evaporust stuff removed it all.
