Correct, You need to modify the seat......or, get creative with the down bar. I had planned on trimming the bar to the contour of the seats at the point of intersection. Then welding a cap on the bar with another smaller diameter bar (5/8&quot; to 3/4&quot; dia) centered inside the tube to slide between the seats and mount to the floor. Same seats and a bar that &quot;looks&quot; fully functional.

Maybe some day I'll do it...
