[/img] I'm real happy with how the color turned out. I started out with soaking the engine with simple green a couple weeks ago and gave it a good wash. I wasn't going to be able to finish that day, so I sprayed it down with WD40 to stop any flash rusting. When I got ready to paint it, I used gasoline soaked blue shop towels and wiped it down thoroughly. After I wiped it down with dry towels, I ran my propane torch over it to make sure I got every last bit off and to heat up the block a little. Next was Wax & Grease remover. Let it dry/wipe it down. Spray several light coats, then several heavy coats allowing a few minutes between coats. I heated the paint with the torch between coats too. Not close enough for the flame to touch it though.
