The car he just finished for a customer almost mirrors his red nova! Little smaller motor with the old side by side dual quad intake for the BB.
Shake down runs are coming up. Stay tuned! </div></div>

Ya, I've tried to figure out the B/MP stuff as I feel that my '69 Nova would also have fit that bill quite nicely. With the mild 396 car went 10.47 back in 1997 or so area. Solid lifter 427 (427/433 that Patrick Budd did for the Polishing Sneakers article MOONS ago) went 10.49. Both in my '69 with M21 and 4.56, 9X29.5 Firestone and mufflers (we;; sorta. 3.5&quot; Dynomax bullets).

The new ZL-1 should be able to put about 3/4's of a second off those times if not more.

Some tracks are now mandating mufflers for almost all cars. There is usually a pick-up in performance with a good muffler, but really, just just take the harshness out of the ex. note. Personal preference.

Now on that 2X4? I've seen where those actually HURT performance? Seems &quot;puddling&quot; of fuel under the carbs but yes that was more street. I know the 409 guys say that the MT crossrams hurt them, and now guys are proving that statement to the tune of about 2 tenths ( one guy went from PB 11.006 to consistent 10.80's first weekend out). Neat for Nostalgia and such, but seems the single 4 run quicker.

Benny, continue to to what you like and how you want to. Your running well and winning rounds. BUT now you have to deal with the competition YOUR creating!!!
