I say aim for Bias-ply,they just look 100% better then radials.
And if your doing it for the ride,todays' are much better composition then the ones made 45 years ago.Plus unless you're driving the car every single day to work & back,I don't understand the complaint.
When someone complains about a muscle cars gas mileage,or running radials rather then bias,I just shake my head.
