I installed about 900,000 truck front fenders (...well...1.8 million if you count LH and RH...LOL): I agree a 1/4&quot; gap is probably acceptable.

The main thing I would look for is a gap that is consistent top to bottom; an &quot;A&quot; gap or a &quot;V&quot; gap usually draws attention to itself and is more objectionable.
