Correct me if wrong? I am under the impression that the U18 was not offered till late in production and chambered exh. was stopped by May 69. I don't think by the time you could get center fuel guage that you could get chamberred exhaust? Having said that, I would be fortunate to have such a nice car as this one sounds.
