Mark, you're '68 has a "very busy high impact" paint scheme......I think the RWL tires will detract from the overall effect and time period.
Black walls at that time were in vouge with custom paints......more stock or single color would accept RWL's....
Choosing the Right Wheel will be more of an Impact I feel.
Aluminum slots, Highly polished, skinnies up front and deep dish for the rear.......
N 50's (295's & 305's) were outdated and out of favor by that time. (Later 70's early 80's)
BFG's 275-295 60 blackwall on early Weld Wheels or Champ 500's , Slots and or Cragar SST's.. SS, CENTER LINES are COOL. Too. .
You have more period choices than an early to mid 70's themed Cars.

Good point about the slots. They were already "out" by the early 1980s. SSTs were popular, but they always looked cheap to me. Wels wheels seem like they were more of a late 1980s thing (at least to me). Satin Centerline Auto Drags get my vote (with blackwalls, of course). Cragar SS would work too.
