Default Re: Well, the Chevelle is D.O.A.....

A suitable replacement transmission has been located and will be ordered tomorrow.

What it <span style="font-style: italic">isn't</span>:

<span style="text-decoration: line-through">Muncie</span>

<span style="text-decoration: line-through">B/W T10</span>

<span style="text-decoration: line-through">Richmond</span>

<span style="text-decoration: line-through">Gforce</span>

<span style="text-decoration: line-through">Liberty</span>

What it <span style="font-style: italic">is</span>:

It is a manual and should eliminate any further potential for breakage. It's almost a direct bolt-in for the Muncie save for a little crossmember re-location, and best of all it does <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: underline">not</span></span> require cutting the trans tunnel, PLUS it's a few inches LONGER than a Muncie which = a shorter driveshaft. (Along those lines, I've also found a 12 bolt pinion yoke that's apparently 1&quot; taller than an OEM yoke which takes another inch off the driveshaft)

More details soon.
