Make sure it's not too soft to start sanding it first. Do the fingernail test in an inconspicuous spot. If it's too soft and doesn't pass the test, let it sit. The paint materials you used can set for a while before sanding. We let the Fig's car sit 2 weeks before sanding/buffing it using the same materials.
