Default Re: SOLD my 1969 SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan

I'm having my front end parts sand blasted. I took the brake dust shields and the caliper mounting brackets up to Zinc Inc. in Slinger, WI to get zinc plated.

It only took about an hour and the parts were done. The brackets weren't sand blasted exactly like they should have been (they didn't remove all the old zinc plating) and where the old plating was, it was darker in color so I had them spray some cold galvanizing paint on it. I figured this isn't a concours restoration so it will be fine for the Blue Bomber.

It cost me $10 to get the parts sand blasted and $20 to plate them.

Now I'm waiting for the other parts to get sand blasted and I will paint them.
