I don't have any before pictures any longer.
I will post some of the finished build sheet later.

I used fast lacquer thinner, believe it or not the thinner will not remove the "carbon copy" type of impact printing on the factory sheets.

I first did this back in 2001 and have done it countless times since.

The GTO Judge conv one I did was completely black from tar, I put it on a stack of paper towels then put a few paper towels over the top then set the whole stack on a piece of expanded metal thus acting as a grate, then poured the lacquer thinner through the stack. The paper towels absorbed the tar freed by the lacquer thinner. You will be amazed by how much tar you can remove. I used cheap fast lacquer thinner for gun cleaning you may be able to use acetone with the same results.
