I would venture these same students would be hard pressed to answer any historical questions about the country they live in. Doesn't make them bad kids...but it certainly makes me wonder where they were during history class [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/hmmm.gif[/img]
Now to answer the question...from the technical point of view..the North won when Lee surrendered. But, the death and destruction were terrible on both sides...I don't think anyone ever wins a civil war,some just lose more than others.
