Default Re: Finders fees.

I have clients that I work with that sometimes I charge and sometimes I do not. It just depends on the particular circumstance. I also recognize what goes around comes around and several of these clients have become friends and pay for things in other ways. It doesn't always have to be monetary. I have learned to recognize who takes advantage of us and who does not and it works both ways. Some buyers have boatloads of money and can certainly afford to pay for services, be it finders fees, inspections or restorations. Sometimes these very same people start nit picking and counting pennies. I do not charge anyone any differently based upon their net worth so when they start getting that tight I have learned it is better to just walk away. People who want something for nothing usually end up with nothing. On the other hand, helping someone out at no charge in some cases comes back and pays dividends. You just have to recognize those when the situation arises.
