I was told the aluminum panels were on the car when it was raced on the dirt track. This happened over 30 years ago in a town about 175 miles from here and I was only made aware of what happened to the car in the last 15 years or so. Locals have said that it was raced for a period of time and scrapped.

I have many childhood memories of that car going off against a 63 Plymouth max wedge at the local drag strip. It was uncut and at some point it had a cage installed.
