Verne is correct again. Low air pressure is helped by a narrower 4-5" rim to flatten the tire for max bite.
Those guys ran 28-29" tires on the SB cars and 29-30" on the BB cars for 6" slicks.
Your combo Vinnie sounds like a SuperStock set up in the early 70's. Will definetly fill that wheel well up.
