I currently have an L46 HW coded engine in my 69Z. Same oil pan with windage tray, heads, valves, springs, pistons, crank and rods as the next years LT-1.
I installed an LT-1 camshaft & lifters along with a 69 Z manifold and carb (restored by the master, Eric) just to make it look like a 69 Z engine. Runs great.

I keep looking at these L46 Corvettes and wondering when they are going to take off. Under rated AND under valued. Yeah, they tend to rattle a little bit, but hey, that is part of the vintage car experience.
