Default Re: The Finest Documented 442 W-30 Convertible Offered

Great Car. I was the second high bidder on this car but lost out to Colin. He did a great job with the restoration. A few points to clafify on 1971 w30 convertible production.
Someone made an incorrect assumption of these cars that only 10 were equipped with AC. As an owner of three 1971 W30 converts I ave been doing reserach on this particular model for 30 years. I have kept records on every car through auctions and at car shows. To date my data includes information on 65 of the 110 cars believed to have bben built (I say this as there is no known proof of counting exports (3) and Canadian sold cars (9). I also have incomplete data on 12 more cars. Of the 65 most are restored, or in original or presentable condition. 2 cars are confirmed early write offs by early owners. Of those 19 are Autos with AC and 21 are 4 speed with three of these known to have bben converted from Automatic. The survival rate of 71 442 Converts is above industry average
You have a great car and faily priced for the current market.
