I've only heard of people with Corvettes and disc brakes having problems with DOT5. Maybe something about the caliper design that traps air and makes proper bleeding impossible?
I've been running it for more years than I can remember in cars with absolutely no issues.
Just don't shake or drop the bottle before you add it, and pour it slowly. The key is to avoid any trapped air bubbles in it.
