I THINK Jim was looking for paper records, i.e. build sheets, and all the info that Pontiac saved.
This info has existed all along. Not until NCRS pursued it for Corvettes a while back did anyone ever think it might be valuable. It is referred to as "shipper" info. And, it is ALL on microfiche only. That is part of what makes it so tough to get digital and searchable.
As far as I know, there are still no leads on paper records.
