Default Re: Flywheel, clutch and pressure plate

I would not resurface your old flywheel. I would recommend buying a new one. I know that resurfacing a flywheel is normal practice and usually works, but new flywheels are cheap.

I own two 69 Z's and a 67 Vette L-79, and a 67 Vette L-36. All have the LUK clutch kits except for one of the Z's. The LUK kits are good and inexpensive, but not as good as the center force clutch kit. When I replace another clutch I will use a center force kit. The CF clutch pedal is smoother, and I have had the springs on the LUK PP give me a little bit of a "sticky" pedal. It is hard to explain but once the PP gets warm the pedal is not as smooth when I engage the clutch. It is getting better now with some wear but like I said I would go with a Center Force kit.
