Well, here's "documentation" that it was to be offered. This is one of TWO page # 44 pages out of an original '64 Finger Tip Facts book I have. The first page doesn't list the 250hp or 300hp 327 either.
Now, having seen that, I also have the Chevrolet documents that show the production of each option in '64. That list does include the 250hp 327 with a note that it entered production in March '64, and the 300hp 327 with a note that it entered production in June '64. There is NO listing for the L76, nor is there a listing for K66 which was supposed to accompany the 365hp option.
Sooooo, even though there is a "listed" L76 option, there is no record of Chevrolet ever producing one in a '64 Chevelle.
