Re: 34.2 Mile 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6 Video
I agree, this is a very rare piece, not because of what it is, but because of the mileage. car should be and needs to be preserved, but you can still enjoy it. What can you learn from a car? Not a darn thing, other then Why Bob put a hose clamp on differently then Jack, and why it was done that way? one is installed at the 1:00 position the other car was at 9:00. Thats a mystery? Wow guys look at that, this paint dab on the tie rod end looks like it was put on by going east to west, not north to south like the last car. wonder why they did it that way, thats really strange. so i must of did mine wrong? I don't think because it is a LS6 or a W-30 they built it better or with special care compared to a 6cyl. valiant? We all know that it was just a piece of transportation built by humans, people like us. not really a science, (but you can't help from wondering why and how some things were done). I look back to this day and wonder why i did something like i did just a year ago, let alone 30 years ago. It was just another day at work to them. Always going to be variables from car to car, and it is cool to see those variables. You don't have to drive your cars either for bad things to happen to them either, fire, weather, list goes on. My hat goes off to those who just look at them for enjoyment (for whatever reason), or for the money, or because it has 34.2 or 102,000 miles, its just not in my blood. I will enjoy a piece of history from the driver seat, where I think it really matters. Beautiful car, Jim
