There is a fellow I've seen on another forum who is/has adapted a Volvo DOHC 4 vale head to the Ford 2.3. I real shame they never did any cool Cosworth stuff to the SVO, but I'm sure the old 2.3 can hold its own with the help of some modern tech. My old 1987 Audi sure responds well to 23 psi! Go get 'em! </div></div>
These four bangers are no joke. 2.3 powered Foxes have been deep in the 8's in the quarter using a raised deck Motorsport block and ARCA head. Not that you can find any of that crap anymore, but since I've seen SVO's run mid-9's with the original block and head still in place, it doesn't matter much. You can go plenty fast enough without anything too exotic.
Whatever you do with it Wayne, it's a good looking car. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
