You have no idea the hrs involved in fixing one of these.......ultimately, u can not fix rusted center cores.....not possible.

And if they are hit, bent cores are almost impossible to fix as well.....u might get the rod fairly straight, but what about the rubber? Getting them to mate evenly with the grill is next to impossible....

Just sharing from experience....this is why guys that buy these cheap, have several, because they are not really fixable unless the damage is very minor.
