ok ... you obviously have never had an OLD tire come apart on you ...

40 year old tires are fine for show use only, but DRIVING is another story ... PLEASE don't jeopardize the lives of others on the road with 40 year old tires on your cars, the car rides and drives <span style="font-weight: bold">SOOOOOOOO</span> much nicer with fresh, new, modern technology tires ...

It only took me one episode of &quot;older&quot; tires blowing out (well, thinking back, it was two episodes) to understand what the risk is of tires that LOOK good and reality

(the 2nd episode was actually the 1st, in early 1977 driving a 67 Nova SS327 4 speed with 4 people in it passing a semi truck on a two lane highway - left front tire that &quot;looked&quot; good ... NOT a fun/safe situation)
