Harrowing experience to say the least.
Frustration levels were off the chart for both my customer and I.
After an initial denial of the claim followed by a borderline heated conversation with a lower level claims representative who only wanted to cover a partial loss, I finally managed to get in contact with a Supervisor who grasped the situation and (tentatively?) agreed to fully cover the loss--upon receipt of verification of the retail value of the item.
Currently awaiting final confirmation.
