I'd also be nervous about publishing this deal on a national forum before it happens.I sure wouldn't be telling anyone where I live or where the car is.

Well, yeah, you're probably right about the "national forum" advertising. However, I don't have, nor plan on acquiring a Chevelle at this time. I've looked the car/engine/tranny over, it's got all the right numbers/components. Here's his issue. He just wants a fast, dependable car. The 454, while freshly rebuilt/restored (before he purchased), is making "ticking" noises and he just can't stand it. I watched the shop replace the lifters and check everything out where they thought it may be coming from but no luck. To me, the ONLY thing left that could possibly make the noise it's making is a bad valve guide, easy fix. But he's intent on putting the other motor in so whatever. I'll buy it, fix it, and put it on a stand in my shop and just wait.
